Contentment

Thank you to all of you who come along and support us with your comments and for the beautiful crafting that has been prompted by our recent challenges.

You may have seen that Sarosa has kindly given us an award. In her comment on our last challenge she said: 'This might be an odd thing to do, but I was given the arte y pico award, with the instruction to award it to five others, and I chose SALT as "one" of the five. Thanks so much for sharing your talent.'


Sarah - how kind of you to award this to us girls at Salt. We
enjoy being able to combine our faith with our love of crafting and
just wish to give God the glory for the inspiration He gives us and
we are glad that we can share this with others like yourself and
equally appreciate you and others contributing your artwork too.'

It's my turn (Hazel) to choose the topic for this fortnight's challenge and I have chosen:

Contentment

I was drawn to Philippians 4, particularly verses 11, 12 and 13, where Paul says:

'I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.'

I find this both a comfort and a challenge. Some of us have been, or are going, through difficult circumstances and yet God is so good and his grace is sufficient for us in the most difficult times. And when we look at some parts of the world, we are so conscious that we have plenty. In this regard I find the parable of the sheep and goats in Matthew 25 to be such a challenge.

His Presence

His Presence
what does God's presence mean to you?
Does it mean Comfort in time of loss,
Strength when you face a battle,
Reassurance that you Walk the Good Walk...


or is it something you need to accept,
is it something you want to be more open too.


Joshua 1:5
No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life.
As I was with Moses, so I will be with you;


I will never leave you nor forsake you.


there are many other verses that speak of God's presence in our lives here are a few.


Matthew 18:20, John 6:37, Romans 8:38-39


as we do with each challenge the design team have created some beautiful pieces
and we'd love you to join in with us


In whatever creative form you feel lead, it could be a Scrapbook LO, card, ATC, journal entry, or whatever else you can think of it's really up to you :)
