Thank you for all the ways you have sung out that "Jesus is Lord". It is so inspiring to see the diversity of ways we can praise through our creativity.
And I (Lythan) would like you to carry on singing through this week's challenge
From the hymnbook
take your inspiration from a hymn or song that means a lot for your faith
Old hymn, new song, overtly Christian or kind of hidden, God speaks to us in music in all sorts of ways.
I can't wait to see your response!

This is ridiculous. I am positively SWAMPED with cardmaking for a giftshop in which I sell cards & a few journals. I am working night and day. But I think I clicked on this site over a dozen times yesterday, desperate to see the new challenge, lol!
I am so inspired by your art work; so grateful you are doing this blog!
Just found this blog and I am so glad I did. been wanting to scrap my faith and didn't know where to start.
can you please get a Feedblitz subscription (with widget on your sidebar) so that I don't miss a single challenge???? pretty please
This challenge was quite convenient. I already had an idea taking shape that fit the theme. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this blog together. It has been a blessing to me.

i love these .. all of them... HERE is my piece... i also did the last two that i missed...
Well, where do I start?
You could leave this challenge running for the next few weeks and I wouldn't run out of ideas (or songs!). I think music affects me very deeply and is, for me with a hopeless word memory, the perfect way to learn the scriptures.
Here's a card from my art journal.

Great challenge. I have an 8 x 8 album that I continual add to when something hit me just right. It has pictures that I have matched up with gospel songs and hymns.
Such beautiful artwork from the team. Its wonderful to see so much feeling in papercrafted items, it makes them extra special.

Great theme. Ros, you're right on! Many of the old hymns were written so that "the masses", many of whom were illiterate, could understand and learn the Word of God, so they were actually a teaching/training tool as well as the outflow of the hearts of worshippers.

I've enjoyed seeing these so much! How special the artwork is!!!! And the blessing of honoring the Lord. =)
here is my "From the hymnbook" in fabric. A tribute to two wonderful men in my life, both served in the military. How appropriate to do this during Veteran's Day. i love your sight and encouragement to share my faith. http://www.morningdew15-morningdove.blogspot.com/
