There your Heart will also be

Happy New Year!
May 2008 be a year of Blessings and Growth in the Lord for you.

Hi everyone, Gillian here, and it's my turn to set the challenge for the next two weeks.
You know setting these challenges is quite a soul searching exercise.
When I chose this theme the time of year came to mind
The Start of a New Year
and so many of us make New Years Resolutions
we look at the New Year as a sign of Change & a time to Grow.
In order to Change & Grow
We must Examine
So this weeks Challenge is perhaps a verse
that may help you to examine
Please take Inspiration from the
Gospel of Matthew
Chapter 6, Verse 21
For where your Treasure is,
there your Heart will also be.
to help your creative juices along, our DT have created some amazing pieces
We'd love for you to join in with this weeks challenge
Once you've completed your piece, leave us a comment at the bottom of this post
and we'll come and view your Creations.

Thanks for this challenge, I'm going to have a go at this, it will be my first ever challenge, just hope i can get it done in time.

(by the way your reference to the scripture is incorrect)
the correct reference is: Matthew Chapter 6 verse 21
Matthew6:21

What a great challenge for the start of 2008. May we all live by this in this coming year. Love the inspiration and encouragement that these changes give to us, even to those of us who do not always have the time to participate.

So happy to see this verse for your challenge and to be able to participate. Here's my interpretation: http://kardkrazy.blogspot.com/2008/01/my-treasure-box.html

You ladies are so inspiring! I'm so glad you are keeping this up!

I would love to comment individually on your some of your artwork, and sometimes ask questions, but you don't always post your art here on your own blogs. :-(

I also want to thank those of you who have encouraged me on my blog! Thanks very much!

This challenge was so appropriate for me because God has really been laying on my heart putting Him first and keeping stamping in perspective ! So this year I want to do more for others in the way of my stamping. And not make it my treasure ! So my project may be a little strange, but I got the ladies of our church together to make cards for our troops ! Come check out their love filled creations ! http://stampingforgodsglory.blogspot.com/

This was a really challenging theme for me! I simply am not a crafter, but I wanted to do something different this week. Unfortunately, I simply ran out of time, and so this is very, very basic. I think I'll go back to my "corner" and stick with making a card for the next challenge, lol!

This couldn't be truer - what wonderful verses you chose. Here's my take on them.
